ucceeded. If this is a newly installed DMM, the

PIN number must be recorded on the work order

to verify proper installation and payment of

invoice. For installations outside North America,

for payment and invoicing.

The reason the DMM could not connect will be displayed. Please refer to

Appendix A, Update Status Information Messages for an explanation of each

error message.

2.3.3 – Setting the Dialing Profile (Modem Connection Only)

Setting the dialing profile determines how the DMM attempts to dial the ISP number.

Option A uses 7-digit dialing (i.e., “555-1212”), or local number dialing. Option B

uses 10-digit dialing (i.e., “555-555-1212”), used in many regions for local dialing

and also for local long distance. Option C uses 1+10-digit dialing (i.e., “1-555-555-
